A metabolic imbalance caused by radiation from your wireless devices could be the link to a number of health risks, such as various neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, a recent study suggests.

“Oxidative Mechanisms of Biological Activity of Low-intensity Radiofrequency Radiation,” a review article published in Electromagnetic Biology & Medicine, explores experimental data on the metabolic effects of low-intensity radiofrequency radiation in living cells.”

“The analysis of modern data on biological effects of low intensity RFR leads to a firm conclusion that this physical agent is a powerful oxidative stressor for living [cells].”

“RFR [is] a potentially hazardous factor for human health. We suggest minimizing the intensity and time of RFR exposures, and taking a precautionary approach towards wireless technologies in everyday human life.”

An Expert Forum on Cell Phone and Wireless Risks to Children was held at the Commonwealth Club of California on June 22, 2015.  Co-organized by ElectromagneticHealth.org and Environmental Health Trust, the focus was on the special risks to children and other vulnerable populations from cell phone and wireless exposures. It featured a special segment portraying actual dossimetry measurements of WiFi exposures in a school. Panelists addressed the questions:

• Should safety guidelines be strengthened to protect adults, children and vulnerable populations?

• Should parents, teachers and schools restrict technology overuse among children?

“Today 190 scientists from 39 nations submitted an appeal to the United Nations, UN member states and the World Health Organization (WHO) requesting they adopt more protective exposure guidelines for electromagnetic fields (EMF) and wireless technology in the face of increasing evidence of risk. These exposures are a rapidly growing form of environmental pollution worldwide.

The “International EMF Scientist Appeal” asks the Secretary General and UN affiliated bodies to encourage precautionary measures, to limit EMF exposures, and to educate the public about health risks, particularly to children and pregnant women.”

Gardai concerned that walkie talkie sets pose risks to their health

 

Gardai believe their Tetra radio system poses risks to their health.

 

The annual conference of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors heard that the force may have been used as “guinea pigs” for the introduction of the system here, without proper studies being carried out in advance on health and safety grounds.

The conference was told there were particular concerns about using the hand-held terminals, or walkie talkie sets, in garda patrol cars or stations.

Association vice president Willie Gleeson said Tetra was an encrypted and safe radio system, that could not be hacked.

But he said members were concerned about the health issues and an investigation should be carried out now to determine if action should be taken.

He said some experts had warned that using the Tetra sets indoors was similar to being in a microwave oven.

The only protection for gardai using their sets in a patrol vehicle was to wind down the windows.

He also said people living near radio masts or aerials could be at risk and that needed further study….

Lloyd’s of London has now excluded any liability coverage for injuries, “directly or indirectly arising out of, resulting from or contributed to by electromagnetic fields, electromagnetic radiation, electromagnetism, radio waves or noise.”  

On February 18, 2015, the UK agent for Lloyd’s stated,

“the Electromagnetic Fields Exclusion (Exclusion 32) is a General Insurance Exclusion and is applied across the market as standard. The purpose of the exclusion is to exclude cover for illnesses caused by continuous long-term non-ionizing radiation exposure i.e. through mobile phone usage.”

School officials could be personally liable for exposing children and staff to microwave radiation (from wifi etc) in our schools.
