FRENCH COURT ORDERS 4G ANTENNA SWITCH-OFF OVER COW HEALTH CONCERN

See UPDATE BELOW 10/10/2022* Court order overruled by Council of State and 4G antenna remains.

A farmer in central-east France said that milk production had dropped by 15-20% in the days following the antenna installation, and 40 of his 200 cows had died

The farmer said that he had noticed a significant drop in milk production within days of the antenna being switched on

A court in France has found in favour of a farmer who claimed that a 4G antenna was damaging his cows’ health, and has ordered for the antenna to be switched off for two months.

The administrative court in Clermont-Ferrand (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) ordered the switch-off after Frédéric Salgues, a farmer in Haute-Loire, said he suspected that it was damaging his herd’s health.

The court said that “it is appropriate to order the temporary cessation of the operation of this antenna for a period of two months, taking into account its general impact, with monitoring, by the judicial expert, of the behaviour of the herd, and of the dairy cows in particular, during this period”.

Operator Orange now has three months to act in accordance with the ruling, including stopping the antenna’s operation while ensuring phone coverage, including emergency calls, for Orange users in the area affected.

After the decision, Mr Salgues told the AFP that he hoped his cows would be able to “recover as soon as possible” and called the case ruling “a major relief and a victory”.

Mr Salgues said that since the antenna’s installation in July 2021 – 200 metres away from his farm in Mazeyrat-d’Allier (Haute-Loire) – around 40 of his normally-200-strong herd had died, and milk production had decreased by 15-20% within days of the antenna being switched on.

He said: “There are no medical elements that could [otherwise] explain this brutal drop in milk production.”

Philippe Molhérat, the mayor of Mazeyrat-d’Allier, who had previously authorised the antenna’s installation, testified in favour of the farmer.

He said that he feared “a catastrophe on a human level” and that his “concerns” were growing for the 1,500 inhabitants of his village.

Yet, lawyers for the mobile operators affected by the ruling, which as well as Orange also included Free and Bouygues Telecom, said that there was “no scientific evidence” that there is a link between animal health and electromagnetic fields surrounding mobile phone antennas.

It comes as the rollout of 5G, which promises even faster internet speeds than 4G, has prompted controversy in France. Many antennas have been vandalised, and even been blamed (in a now-debunked theory) for the spread of Covid-19.

Yet, French health and safety agency l’Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire (Anses) has repeatedly said that current scientific studies suggest that 5G antennas “do not present any notable risks to health because they use frequencies very close to previous generations of connectivity.

UK LEGAL ACTION AGAINST 5G – Court of Appeal Grants Permission for Judicial Review

News

Source Article: Action Against 5G

Secretary of State to be challenged on failure to give adequate information to the public about the risks of 5G and to explain the absence of a process for investigation of any adverse health effects

We are delighted to announce that the Court of Appeal has today granted permission for our case to proceed on two grounds concerning:

1. The failure to provide adequate or effective information to the public about the risks and how, if it be possible, it might be possible for individuals to avoid or minimise the risks;

2. (a) The failure to provide adequate and sufficient reasons for not establishing a process to investigate and establish the adverse health effects and risks of adverse health effects from 5G technology and/or for discounting the risks presented by the evidence available; and/or (b) failure to meet the requirements of transparency and openness required of a public body.

These grounds advance a breach of the Human Rights Act 1998 by omissions and failings in violation of the positive obligations to protect human life, health and dignity, required to be met by Articles 2, 3 and/or 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The case will now be sent back to the Administrative Court and we await the directions as to the full hearing in due course.

To our wonderful supporters: this is YOUR victory. Without your unerring faith in our case, this would not have been possible.

With eternal gratitude

EU review on carcinogenic and reproductive health risks

https://www.diagnose-funk.org/aktuelles/artikel-archiv/detail&newsid=1789

https://www-diagnose–funk-org.- google translated

From Kompetenzinitiative e.V.   5th May 2022

STOA study in German translation

EU review on carcinogenic and reproductive health risks

In June 2021, the Science and Technology Options Assessment Committee (STOA) of the European Parliament published the study “Health effects of 5G. Current knowledge on the carcinogenic and reproductive development risks associated with 5G, as derived from epidemiological studies and experimental in vivo studies result”. The STOA Committee is a committee of the European Parliament dealing with science and technology assessment.

The results of the STOA report can be summarized as follows:

  • In the synopsis of the results from epidemiology, in-vivo and in-vitro studies, there is evidence from animal experiments for a carcinogenic potential, especially for the previously used mobile radio frequency ranges of GSM, UMTS and LTE (FR1: 700 to 3,800 MHz), as well negative effects on fertility.
  • There are no adequate studies available for 5G in the higher frequency range (FR2: 24.25 to 52.6 GHz). That is why the study describes 5G as an experiment on the population.
  • The authors of the study call for a 5G expansion freeze (for 5G in the higher frequency range, FR2: 24.25 to 52.6 GHz), further research on the high 5G frequencies FR2, education of the population and a focus on the expansion of fiber optic networks.

This is significant in two ways: According to the STOA report, the probability that the radiation of the frequencies used so far (FR1: 450 to 6000 MHz) causes cancer, damages fertility and particularly vulnerable organisms is confirmed by the latest research results. Anyone who claims that 5G (FR2: 24 to 100 GHz) is harmless is passing off ignorance as knowledge.

The report therefore proposes the following consequences:

  • “7.1 Deciding on a new technology for mobile phones that enables a reduction in RF exposure…
  • 2 Revision of public and environmental exposure limits to reduce RF exposure from cell towers…
  • 3 Adoption of measures that provide incentives to reduce RF-EMF exposure…
  • 4 Encourage multidisciplinary scientific research to assess the long-term health effects of 5G and find an appropriate method for monitoring exposure to 5G…
  • 5 Promotion of information campaigns about 5G.”(p. 152 ff)

A critical analysis of the MOBI-Kids study of wireless phone use in childhood and adolescence and brain tumor risk

https://doi.org/10.1515/reveh-2022-0040

Lennart Hardell and Joel M. Moskowitz

From the journal Reviews on Environmental Health

Abstract

The MOBI-Kids case-control study on wireless phone use and brain tumor risk in childhood and adolescence included the age group 10–24 years diagnosed between 2010 and 2015. Overall no increased risk was found although for brain tumors in the temporal region an increased risk was found in the age groups 10–14 and 20–24 years. Most odds ratios (ORs) in MOBI-Kids were <1.0, some statistically significant, suggestive of a preventive effect from RF radiation; however, this is in contrast to current knowledge about radiofrequency (RF) carcinogenesis. The MOBI-Kids results are not biologically plausible and indicate that the study was flawed due to methodological problems. For example, not all brain tumor cases were included since central localization was excluded. Instead, all brain tumor cases should have been included regardless of histopathology and anatomical localization. Only surgical controls with appendicitis were used instead of population-based controls from the same geographical area as for the cases. In fact, increased incidence of appendicitis has been postulated to be associated with RF radiation which makes selection of control group in MOBI-Kids questionable. Start of wireless phone use up to 10 years before diagnosis was in some analyses included in the unexposed group. Thus, any important results demonstrating late carcinogenesis, a promoter effect, have been omitted from analysis and may underestimate true risks. Linear trend was in some analyses statistically significant in the calculation of RF-specific energy and extremely low frequency (ELF)-induced current in the center of gravity of the tumor. Additional case-case analysis should have been performed. The data from this study should be reanalyzed using unconditional regression analysis adjusted for potential confounding factors to increase statistical power. Then all responding cases and controls could be included in the analyses. In sum, we believe the results as reported in this paper seem uninterpretable and should be dismissed. …

Summary

  • – In our opinion, the results as reported in the MOBI-Kids paper seem uninterpretable and should be dismissed.

  • – All brain tumor cases should have been included regardless of histopathology and anatomical localization.

  • – Only surgical controls with suspected appendicitis were used. Yet, increased incidence of appendicitis has been postulated to be associated with RF radiation.

  • – Start of wireless phone use up to 10 years before diagnosis was in some analyses included in the unexposed group. This would bias the ORs towards unity.

  • – The results indicate an increased risk for tumors in the temporal brain region in spite of methodological issues based on low numbers in several categories.

  • – Linear trend was in some analyses statistically significant in the calculation of RF-specific energy and ELF-induced current in the center of gravity of the tumor. Additional case-case analysis should have been performed.

  • – The data from this study should be reanalyzed using unconditional regression analysis adjusted for potential confounding factors to increase the statistical power.

Finally, it is unfortunate that after such a major investment of resources that little can be learned at this time from the MOBI-Kids study about the risk of brain tumors from wireless phone use in young people. Since the study addresses an issue critical to public health and the majority of the funding was from the European Commission, the MOBI-Kids data set should be publicly archived making it available to the scientific community to enable the data to be re-analyzed using different assumptions and methods.

NEW INSIGHTS INTO LINKS BETWEEN EMFS, CALCIUM AND ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

Source Article : NEWS MEDICAL LIFE SCIENCES

For almost a quarter of a century, researchers have been studying and publishing on the effect of calcium on Alzheimer’s Disease. Research has led to the development of the calcium hypothesis of Alzheimer’s disease, which argues that Alzheimer’s is caused by excessive intracellular calcium.

Calcium causes changes to the brain

Calcium build-up in cells results in diverse range of changes in the brain. There are two significant changes that develop conditions for Alzheimer’s disease.

  1. Specific increases in the amyloid precursor protein, BACE1 and amyloid beta protein aggregates
  2. Less specific neurodegenerative changes including hyperphosphorylated tau protein and neurofibrillary tangles, cell death produced by apoptosis or by destructive autophagy, synaptic dysfunction produced by changes in neuronal structures required for synapsis between brain neurons, oxidative stress and inflammation

EMFs and calcium build up

Pulsed electronically generated electromagnetic fields (EMFs) used for wireless communication are coherent producing strong electric and magnetic forces that act in the cells of our bodies primarily via activation of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). VGCC activation produces rapid increases in intracellular calcium levels. Therefore, EMF exposures produce changes with lead to excessive intracellular calcium. This buildup explains the effects on the brain in Alzheimer’s disease.

These EMF induced changes to intracellular calcium levels have been demonstrated in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease. Research has shown the involvement of two pathways that lead to Alzheimer’s disease. Each of the two pathways producing pathophysiological effects following EMF exposure are important in Alzheimer’s causation: the excessive calcium signaling pathway and the peroxynitrite/oxidative stress/inflammation pathway.

Professor Martin L. Pall, at the Washington State University has been studying this phenomenon for a decade. “EMFs act via peak electric and time varying magnetic forces at a nanosecond time scale.”, says Professor Pall. Such peaks are vastly increased with each increase in pulse modulation produced by smarter cell phones, smart meters, smart cities and radar in self driving vehicles. “Any of these may produce the ultimate nightmare – extremely early onset Alzheimer’s Disease.”

These findings provide powerful evidence that EMFs can cause Alzheimer’s disease. Human and animal studies add still more evidence to the calcium hypothesis of Alzheimer’s disease.

A look at some more evidence

Professor Pall summarizes the evidence in a recent review in Current Alzheimer Research.

Human genetic and pharmacological studies show that elevated VGCC activity causes increased Alzheimer’s incidence. Consequently, it is not just calcium that is important. VGCC activity, which is directly greatly increased by EMF exposure, is also important in causing Alzheimer’s.

12 recent occupational exposure assessments have found that people having occupational EMF exposures have higher Alzheimer’s incidence. Some studies suggest that EMFs shorten the normal 25-year latency period of Alzheimer’s disease.

Earlier occupational exposure studies (in the 1970s and 1980s) showed that neurological / neuropsychiatric reported effects, associated with EMF exposures, developed cumulatively, such that longer times of exposure to the same EMFs, produced more severe effects. This parallels cumulative effects in neurodegeneration.

The age of onset of Alzheimer’s has decreased over the past 20 years or so, with the timing corresponding to the large recent increases in wireless communication EMF exposures. Recent studies report age 30 to 40 Alzheimer’s cases.

Very young people who are exposed to cell phone or Wi-Fi radiation for many hours per day may develop digital dementia.

El-Swefy et al, in 2008, showed that 2 hours per day very low intensity mobile phone base station (cell phone tower) radiation produced massive neurodegeneration of the brains of young rats. 34% of the brain cells died in 4 weeks. 11 measured brain changes and 4 observed behavioral changes were each greatly lowered by the VGCC calcium channel blocker amlodipine. These findings show is that EMFs most of us are exposed to every day, acted via VGCC activation to produce universal massive, extraordinarily rapid neurodegeneration in young rats. The researchers did not examine any Alzheimer’s specific brain changes.

However, Jiang et al. (2013 & 2016) looked at EMF pulses in rats found Alzheimer’s specific changes but also some less specific changes in the hippocampus, a brain region which is heavily impacted in Alzheimer’s. Jiang 2013 exposed rats to a series of EMF pulses in one day to 2-month old rats, finding apparent universal Alzheimer’s effects in 20 month old rats (roughly the equivalent of 42-year-old humans coming down with near universal Alzheimer’s). The 2016 paper exposed the rats to EMF pulses once a day, causing Alzheimer’s at 10 months of age (similar to 21-year-old people with extremely early onset Alzheimer’s). Both El-Swefy and Jiang found massive neurodegeneration in young rats simply from exposing them to EMF pulses.

What needs to be done?

Three types of studies are urgently needed to be performed by independent scientists:

1. Brain marker surveys of Alzheimer’s disease and MRI brain scans for abnormalities among young people who show signs of digital dementia.

2. EMF exposures assessments for pre-diagnosis environments for people aged 30 to 40 who have been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. These assessments should compare phone and cell phone tower radiation, Wi-Fi radiation, smart meter and dirty electricity radiation levels with normal controls.

3. Examinations for early signs of Alzheimer’s disease among people living near small cell antennae for a year or more.

Findings from each of these studies should be shared with the general public, so that everyone can take the steps necessary to reduce the incidence of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.”

SAVE OUR LANDLINES – PLANS TO REMOVE TRADITIONAL LANDLINES – SEND OBJECTION TO COMREG BY 11th MAY 2022

Please send a submission to ComReg by 5pm, this Wednesday, 11th May 2022

In March 2021, Openeir (Eir) issued a White Paper called Copper Switch-Off – Leaving a Legacy for the Future, detailing the plan to migrate from the traditional copper landline network to internet based digital telecommunications, which will mean switching off and decommissioning all our landlines and eventually removing the copper network altogether https://www.openeir.ie/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/White-paper_Leaving-a-Legacy.pdf

On 28th March 2022, ComReg published a 69 page document, Framework for the Migration from Legacy Infrastructure to Modern Infrastructure, https://www.comreg.ie/media/2022/04/ComReg-2213R.pdf calling for input and responses from stakeholders. There was no publicity about this, no information on any Govt websites or in the media.

Please take part in this consultation and tell ComReg why traditional copper landlines must not be removed and that there should be a choice to use either the copper landline network or digital networks.  INFORMATION HERE https://www.comreg.ie/framework-for-the-migration-from-legacy-infrastructure-to-modern-infrastructure/

WHAT IS THE COPPER SWITCH-OFF?

The plan is that all telephone landlines will be utilised through the fibre network only, using data over the internet or Voice over the Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Over the last few years, some people have already chosen to give up their landlines in favour of mobiles, or use VoIP connected to their broadband. However, there will be negative consequences to getting rid of existing copper landlines altogether and having only digital telecommunications.

People should have the choice.

· If the internet goes down, for whatever reason; a power outage caused by storms, maintenance work, cut off by electricity suppliers, sabotage, hackers etc, digital VoIP landlines will not work – unless you have your own back-up power.

Copper landlines have, more often than not, stayed working during power outages as they are independent of home electrical power and the main electricity grid and have their own exchange and power generators. This has been the case for decades.

In fact, in a Consumer Survey carried out by ComReg in 2021 they found that: 41% of those with a traditional fixed landline with no power cable have a misperception that their service will not work in a power outage https://www.comreg.ie/media/2021/12/ComReg-21143a.pdf

· If there is no power or internet connection for a few hours or longer, the alternatives are having a power supply back up or a charged up mobile phone (that’s assuming nearby mobile phone masts still get power in a power cut). Everyone, especially those who are vulnerable, should have immediate access to emergency services. Lives will be put at risk if the more reliable landlines are removed.

· Having to use or have a mobile or smart phone instead of a copper landline is not a viable option for some people, including:

  • Those of us who do not have or want a mobile phone due to adverse effects on our health and being unable to tolerate using them or being near any wireless/smart devices.

  • Others who have made the choice not to have smart phones.

  • Elderly people who are not able to use a mobile or smart device, and more comfortable with traditional landlines.

  • Not everyone wants, needs or is able to use a mobile phone and no should have to get one, and pay a monthly contract, when we have a safer and more reliable existing network.

There are some people who do not want, or need, broadband installations at their homes either which would be necessary to facilitate VoIP landlines. Current traditional fixed telephone landlines are what most of us have, are used to and they are the most reliable telecommunications technology.

· It is very important to have the option of turning off our routers (and wifi) at night or when out or not in use, as a safety measure and to avoid wastage of energy. The new system would mean either that when people turn off their routers, they would also be turning off their home phone system, or there would be no option to turn it off at all, neither of which is acceptable.

· Many older and vulnerable people rely on Emergency Response wearable alarms which need to be connected to their home landlines, in case of an emergency and to feel more secure in their own homes. It is not known if all these systems will still work on VoIP when installed, but they definitely will not work if there is a power cut or the internet goes down. How will a vulnerable person call for help if they don’t have power, a working landline or a mobile phone? And what if they don’t have a charged mobile phone or mobile coverage? All this will cause considerable anxiety to many. It could also be used as an excuse to install even more mobile phone masts and base stations.

· As well as Emergency Response systems, the changeover may also impact burglar alarms and other systems connected to landlines. There is uncertainty around this and it seems from Openeir’s White Paper that customers and the providers of these systems will have to work this out for themselves. (p 14)

· The copper landline network is already fully in place and has worked successfully for decades. It doesn’t make economic or environmental sense to remove it and it would be extremely wasteful to discontinue and rip out this national, efficient, safe and important service. Maintaining the existing network would be more beneficial for the environment, our security, safety and health, than a network that needs to be plugged in and requires more data and energy consumption.

· VOIP lines are less secure than traditional landlines and can be hacked more easily.

‘It is easier for hackers and eavesdroppers to intercept VoIP data, thereby breaching your privacy. The packets are disseminated over the internet through unsecured channels and are easily intercepted at any node. Moreover, since the data is digital, it can be stored and manipulated in ways that PSTN data cannot.’ https://www.lifewire.com/are-you-calls-secure-on-landline…

· Traditional landlines provide clearer, cleaner reception and sound quality than mobile calls or VoIP digital calls which generally have interference and poorer sound. There will be a lot of data traffic on VoIP internet lines, competing with internet usage, streaming, downloading, uploading, online meetings etc, etc

Insights on Wireless Radiation from a Physicist – Dr Leendert Vriens

With thanks to Dr. Leendert Vriens, Physicist and Lyn McLean, Director of EMR Australia

Perhaps you’d like to know more about the radiofrequency (wireless) radiation that’s generally present in our homes and communities. You might be wondering:

• how do we know whether wireless radiation is harmful?

• what about 5G? Is it a risk to our health?

• could wireless radiation be more dangerous than the radiation we get from natural sources, such as the sun?

• even if it’s non-ionizing?

• can it harm our bodies, even though it doesn’t heat them? (Australian and international standards are based on preventing the heating effects of radiation.)

• do these standards protect us?

• what can we do to protect ourselves and our families?

FREQUENCIES USED IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS An Integrated Radiobiological Assessment – Prof Yuri G Girigoriev 1925 – 2021

Yuri 2

With many thanks to, Lyn McLean, Director, EMR Australia PL
“Frequencies used in Telecommunications – An Integrated Radiobiological Assessment”

By Yuri G. Grigoriev, translated by ORSAA [Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association Inc]

The book can be downloaded for free: https://bit.ly/GrigorievBook (198 page pdf)

One of the world’s leading authorities on wireless radiation has documented the risks of 5G radiation in “the first book on 5G that outlines the potential dangers of 5G technology, both in Russia and overseas.”

The book, written by Professor Yuri Grigoriev shortly before his death, was recently translated into English by the Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association (ORSAA) and can now be downloaded for free.

Many countries (including Australia) base their radiation standards on Guidelines developed by the International Commission on Nonionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). In the book, Prof Grigoriev points out that ICNIRP is not necessarily a credible body, and its members are not impartial scientists. The ICNIRP Guidelines, he believes, are inadequate because they are only designed to protect people from the heating effects of radiation. But even this, they don’t do properly.      [Note: In the U.S., the radio frequency radiation guidelines adopted by the FCC are similar to those of ICNIRP.]

Among the problems with these guidelines are that:

  • they don’t prevent unacceptable increases in temperature

  • they don’t restrict the intensity of spikes of radiation

  • a person would have to hold a 5G mobile phone 8 cm from their head or body to comply with them.

Grigoriev says ‘ICNIRP members persist in arguing that the thousands of peer-reviewed studies that have found biological or medical consequences from chronic exposure to non-thermal EMF levels are insufficient to warrant stricter safety regulations.’

Grigoriev refers to studies showing harmful effects of 5G millimetre waves (MMWs). They include:

  • demyelination of nerve cells

  • changes to cell membranes, including changes to ion channels

  • inhibition of cell cycle progression

  • changes to levels of enzyme and proteins in the brain’s hippocampus

  • double-strand breaks in DNA

  • effects on reproduction

  • changes to the sensitivity of the skin

  • effects on peripheral and central nervous systems

  • effects on the hypothalamus and pituitary glands and changes to cortisol and testosterone hormones

  • changes to heart rate

  • changes to immune function

  • degranulation of mast cells in the skin (that can cause allergic-type symptoms).

Grigoriev says that individuals react differently to exposure, and this can make it difficult for observers to draw conclusions and can lead to errors in assessing the impacts of radiation.

He writes, “From our evaluation of the results of preliminary studies on the possible impacts on the health of the population of the 5G MMW-exposures alone …, we consider it reasonable to expect the following adverse effects: impacts on normal functioning in the critical organs of the skin and eyes; mediated systemic reactions in the body as a whole; and, most notable, impacts to the nervous and immune systems.”

Grigoriev refers to calls by doctors, scientists and administrations in different countries to halt the roll-out of 5G until it can be demonstrated to be safe. He says, ‘Irradiation of the human population by MMWs without the appropriate precautionary standards is clearly immoral – in the same way as conducting or observing an experiment would be, when it has the possibility of developing pathological processes; eg, according to the notion: ‘Wait and see … then we will be able to establish proper standards.’ Of course, by then, it will be too late!”
